Book Project

Roger has traveled to Bokar Monastery in Mirik, India almost every year since 1999. He is currently developing a book of photographs describing the relationships between the monastery and the many people who live in, visit and support it.

The 70+ page book measures 8.5 by 11 inches and will be available in both hardcover and soft cover editions through Blurb on demand publishing. Roger plans to review the book content with the abbot of Bokar Monastery in September 2008 during a trip to Nepal, India and Thailand. Publishing will proceed with the abbot's approval.

Half the proceeds of this project will be donated to Bokar Monastery in Mirik, India.

Travel Project

September and early October 2008 will be spent in Kathmandu, Nepal; northern India and Bangkok, Thailand. A collection of some of the best images from this trip will be available late this year. Roger hopes to exhibit some of them in a local gallery and will offer them for sale on TendrelPhotography.com.

Roger also plans to write some articles for Buddhist and photography magazines and web sites, focusing on photography as practice and connecting with the subjects one photographs while traveling abroad.
